A relaxed and informal style
How your photographer interacts with you, your family and guests on your wedding day can make a big difference to how you enjoy your day. Our relaxed, informal and friendly style receives many compliments during and after the wedding. We work hard behind the scenes to stay on schedule, get the images you want whilst making photography a fun and enjoyable element of your day.
The Whole Day
From morning preparations too late into the evening reception, we blend into the background to record your day, so you can enjoy it for years to come. By getting to know you and your guests we become a familiar and friendly face to take the impromptu photographs of everybody at your wedding. Most all day wedding coverage starts at 10 am and runs through to 9 pm, although this is flexible according to your wedding schedule, ceremony and meal times.
The strongest images (typically about 250 to 500) are all fully edited in Adobe Photoshop. You will receive these on a beautiful USB all within the package price, watermark and copyright free. It's your wedding so why would you not want a copy of the images to print, copy and share with friends online through Facebook, Twitter and other social sites.
Choice of Albums
We offer a wide range of albums, from modern storybooks to traditional handmade. Each album is custom designed by Elaine following an album consultation after your wedding. Electronic previews are emailed, before print, allowing you to confirm your album is just the way you want it. Equally, if you don’t wish an album, you know you will always have all the images on the USB to share in other ways.
You Choose the Style
We never forget it’s your special day and not a photo shoot. By meeting with you beforehand and discussing your specific requirements, we can help you decide what style(s) suit you. If you are not sure what style to choose we recommend a mix of all styles, changing the emphasis at different stages of your wedding day. Everything from reportage to the more traditional, contemporary, fun and fashionable can be covered.
In fashion at the moment is a photojournalistic style of photography, producing a story of your wedding day from a slightly more remote viewpoint. This style of photography does not capture formally posed pictures but snapshot images of various parts of the day.
Contemporary photography is artier than Traditional or Formal photographs with an element of fun to inject a relaxed and informal style to your wedding. The benefit of this style of photography is people feel less posed. These photographs grab people’s attention simply because they look like they have come from the glossy magazines.
Fashion photography is similar to Contemporary with a more dramatic emphasis. It usually appeals to the more outgoing and fashion conscious bride and groom. It does take more time on the day to get the right light and settings.
Fun photography can be injected into your wedding and can be driven by your character and mood on the day. I am always open to ideas before and on the day so feel free to ask. If you are not sure then we can discuss ideas during your wedding consultations.
Formal / Traditional
This type of wedding photography is what we are used to seeing and essentially consists of posed groups and portraits. Formal/Traditional photography has stood the test of time. These are the photographs that end up on the wall and mantelpiece as a permanent reminder of your magical day. The benefits are that you will get all the pictures you expect.
If you are looking to inject some extra fun & giggles into your evening reception, we offer a photo booth from typically first dance to late. Our photo booth is customisable with various themes and sizes from couples to a dozen people. We use high-quality studio lighting and digital cameras to take photographs at a higher level of quality than any other photo both in Scotland. On site printing, and Facebook upload is also available with a USB of images provided with your wedding package.
We work closely with a small number of videographers who can provide video coverage of your wedding. As we have all worked together before adding a videographer to your day is easy and does not take up any more of your time on the day. See out Recommend Suppliers page for details of the videographers we recommend. We are also happy to work with any other videographer if you already have one in mind.
